The modified ketogenic diet is a mixture of a few different versions of the diet. It remains a high fat and low carbohydrate diet with moderate amounts of protein. The carbohydrate amount is slightly more generous than compared with the classical version of the ketogenic diet. MCT can be added into the MKD to help with producing ketones.
